What To Expect

A typical Reiki session begins with a short intake form, which you can complete ahead of time to maximise your treatment time. Spending more time receiving Reiki allows you to fully enjoy its calming and restorative benefits.
You’ll remain fully dressed throughout the session, so it’s best to wear comfortable clothing. During the treatment, you’ll lie on your back on a supportive treatment table, complete with pillows and blankets to ensure your comfort. If you have specific needs or prefer not to use a treatment table, we also offer comfortable chair options to accommodate you.
Gentle music and optional essential oils may be used to create a relaxing environment tailored to your preferences. The session begins with a short relaxation period, allowing you to let go of stress and enjoy the soothing sensation of Reiki energy. Many clients find deep relaxation after a few sessions, often experiencing calm, rhythmic breathing or even falling asleep—both are signs of the body’s healing response.
At the end of the session, you’ll have time to ground yourself, enjoy a glass of water, and discuss the detoxification process with Amy. You’ll leave feeling calm, balanced, and ready to embrace the rest of your day.
Amy often shares with her clients that heading to bed right after a Reiki session can lead to a deeply restful sleep. However, if you choose to stay active, you’ll likely notice a renewed energy flowing through your body and mind. Planning your post-treatment activities with intention can amplify this vibrant energy—whether it’s tackling a task with enthusiasm or indulging in a much-deserved, long nap!
